This course introduces the three core handbuilding techniques in a simple and accessible way for beginners. It teaches the foundations of ceramics through guided lessons, visual demonstrations, knowledge tests, and hands-on activities.

Forging Innovation: The Design Factory Model (Forge, Bootcamp, and the Global Network)
This course explores how universities can become spaces for collaboration, experimentation, and real-world problem solving through the Design Factory model. Discovering how interdisciplinary teams of students, academics, and industry partners work together to tackle complex challenges.
Using the example of Forge Design Factory and insights from a Bootcamp in Finland, this course teaches how the model works, why it has evolved into a global network, and how it supports innovation and change in higher education.
